The Diploma in Anti & Counter Terrorism Studies (ACTS) is a Five (5) module program offered on both Full-time and Part-time basis. It premises on the tenet of terrorism, expounding on key clandestinity denominators that governs its development and growth.
The program is designed by in-tune AT-CT practitioners from the Academic Board. It is structured holistically to provide security professionals with comprehensive knowledge on the imperatives spanning the Strategic, Operational and Tactical realms. Collusion of the three (3) imperatives is an important aspect since no single domain will be adequate in such a confounding subject.
Applicability and relevance of the programs include security practitioners from governmental bodies, as well as the private security industry. Examples include portfolio holders that include: Trainers, Consultants, Security mangers, Supervisors and Frontline operators. Its take-way and eventual objective is to equip practitioners with actionable outcomes that each can apply in their respective sphere of work.
Notably, trainers engaged are Subject Matter Experts (SME) in their respective fields. This facet is cardinal for quality and professionalism assurances given the ambulant and evolving threat landscape.
The adopted teaching methodology to impart knowledge and skills are through participative learning, discussions, table-top exercises (TTX) and case studies of previous no-duff occurrences. The strive is to make contents relatable and relevant to student’s field of work and specialisation.
