Vipul has over a 15yrs of industry experience in advising and training organization leaders and staff on internal controls and management against Financial crime, Enterprise Fraud, and Money Laundering, and He understands the unique challenges faced by Banks, FIs, Currency Exchanges, Trade Houses, Financial Services, NBFIs and DNFBPs etc. in keeping upto the compliance challenges with industrial and regulatory authorities. He has worked with Banks, Credit Societies, Payment Facilitators, Law Firms, TPPPs, etc. He has helped clients respond to FIU notices, Regulatory Show causes, Compliance notices, etc.
With Academics majoring in International Business and International Commercial Law, he brings legal and commercial lines of thinking to his analysis and advisory. He has worked on subject matter catering to focus on areas of Regulatory & Compliance guidelines from RBI, SEBI, IRDA SEC, FINRA, FINCEN, CBUAE, FCA,
OFAC, FINMA, and MSA. He has a strong understanding of Financial Fraud (Retail, Corporate, Correspondent & Capital Market); and works with a team of Financial Forensics and Internal controls for Fraud prevention, Policies and Processes reviews, Vendor screening, Investigations and Crisis management.
Vipul is a visiting faculty with several institutions of repute including Pune University, the Dept. of Defence and Strategic Studies, and Police Training and Research Institutes, where he teaches Anti-Money Laundering and Financial Crime detection and prevention. He has been invited to government agencies and law enforcement for case discussion, advisory, and officer training.
Vipul is a published columnist with NEWS18 (India), The South Asia Times (USA), The Statecraft, Tazakhabar, etc. on topics of Financial Crime, Counter Terrorism, National Security, Public Awareness and Geopolitics.
