Who is eligible for the CIA challenge exam?

Who is Eligible to apply for the CIA Exam
- Master’s Degree (or equivalent): A candidate with a master’s degree can sit for an exam (before obtaining the requisite work experience). They must also pass all three exam parts before becoming certified. Additionally, they must have at least one year of internal audit experience or equivalent.
- Bachelor’s Degree (or equivalent): A candidate with a bachelor’s degree can sit for an exam before obtaining the requisite work experience. They must pass all three exam parts before becoming certified. Additionally, they must have at least two years of internal audit experience or equivalent.
- Active Internal Audit Practitioner Designation Holder: A candidate who is an active internal audit practitioner designation holder is eligible to apply for the CIA challenge exam. However, they must pass all three exam parts before becoming certified and should have at least five years of internal audit experience or equivalent.
- 5 Years of Internal Audit Experience (or equivalent): A candidate with five years of internal audit experience or equivalent is eligible to apply for the CIA exam. However, they must pass all three exam parts before becoming certified. These professionals do not require any additional experience as part of the eligibility criterio.
